Adani Enterprises Q2 FY27 Results: Revenue Jumps 74% to Rs 38,023 Crore, EBITDA Rises 62%

Adani Enterprises Reports Strong Q2 FY27 Growth

Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL) reported a sharp rise in revenue and operating earnings for the second quarter of the financial year 2026-27, with consolidated revenue climbing 74% year-on-year to Rs 38,023 crore. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 62% to Rs 6,316 crore, while profit before tax (PBT) from continuing operations surged 146% to Rs 2,002 crore.

The results, announced on October 28, cover the quarter ended September 30, 2026. The company's performance reflects higher contributions from its expanding businesses, including copper manufacturing and renewable energy equipment production. Its data centre operations also continued to add capacity and secure new customer commitments.

The figures point to stronger operating performance across several parts of the Adani Group's flagship company as investments made in previous years begin contributing more substantially to earnings.

First-Half Revenue and EBITDA Show Broad-Based Growth

For the first half of FY27, Adani Enterprises recorded consolidated revenue of Rs 71,569 crore, up 62% compared with the corresponding period last year. EBITDA rose 56% to Rs 11,958 crore, while profit before tax from continuing operations increased 45% to Rs 3,297 crore.

The first-half figures suggest that earnings growth extends beyond a single quarter. The company's expanding industrial operations and the gradual ramp-up of recently commissioned facilities have helped support its financial performance.

Copper manufacturing has emerged as one of the contributors to the improvement. The business reported EBITDA of Rs 2,033 crore during the first half, supported by increased capacity utilisation and higher sales volumes. The company said copper sales volumes rose 5.2 times compared with the corresponding period last year.

Adani Enterprises also received a long-term credit rating upgrade to AA with a Stable outlook from CARE Ratings. According to the company, the upgrade marks the highest credit rating in its history.

The rating improvement offers a positive signal about its credit standing, although investors will continue to assess borrowing costs, capital expenditure requirements and cash flow as the company expands its operations.

Solar Manufacturing and Data Centres Drive Expansion

Adani New Industries Ltd (ANIL), the group's new energy business, expanded its solar module manufacturing capacity to 10 gigawatts (GW) after commissioning a 4.3 GW TOPCon module line in September 2026.

TOPCon, or tunnel oxide passivated contact, is a solar cell technology designed to improve conversion efficiency. Expanding production capacity could strengthen the company's position in India's growing solar manufacturing sector, where domestic production and supply chain development remain key industry priorities.

Construction of an additional 6 GW solar cell manufacturing line is also progressing, according to the company. The project's execution and the ability to utilise the expanded capacity will be important factors in determining future returns.

The data centre business, AdaniConnex, secured a new hyperscale order for 240 megawatts (MW) in Navi Mumbai. The company said its cumulative tied-up capacity has now exceeded 1.2 GW.

Operational data centre capacity reached 94.6 MW during the quarter. AdaniConnex also handed over 10 MW of capacity in Noida and 19.2 MW in Pune to customers.

These developments reflect growing demand for large-scale digital infrastructure. However, converting customer commitments into operating facilities and revenue will require sustained investment, reliable power supplies and timely project execution.

Gautam Adani Highlights Execution and Investment Strategy

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani attributed the company's performance to its ability to execute large investment plans across multiple businesses.

He said the group was focused on turning increasingly complex commitments into projects operating at scale, citing integrated energy, airports and artificial intelligence infrastructure as examples of its investment strategy.

Adani also pointed to continued interest from domestic and international investors despite market volatility. His comments underline the group's intention to expand its presence in sectors linked to India's economic and infrastructure development.

For shareholders, the next test will be whether this expansion translates into sustained earnings, stronger cash generation and returns that justify the capital committed to new projects.

Investor Focus Shifts to Sustainable Earnings Growth

Adani Enterprises' Q2 FY27 results show strong year-on-year growth in revenue, EBITDA and profit before tax. The first-half performance also indicates that several businesses are moving into more productive stages after years of investment.

Still, headline growth figures alone do not establish the long-term strength of the business. Investors will need to track debt levels, cash flows, project execution, capacity utilisation and profitability across individual segments.

The immediate takeaway is clear: Adani Enterprises has reported a strong quarter, supported by copper operations, solar manufacturing expansion and data centre growth. Whether this momentum continues will depend on how effectively the company converts its expanding asset base into consistent earnings and financial returns.
